Ron DeHoff hails originally from New Jersey, but has lived in California for over forty years. Mr. DeHoff graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor's Degree in the Science of Engineering. He obtained a Masters of Science and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Stanford University. He worked for many years in Silicon Valley with startups including General Magic, Netscape Communications, and America-On-Line in the areas of product development and software licensing. After moving to the Central Coast, Mr. DeHoff worked ten years in fiduciary services providing accounting and trust administration services to elderly clients. Mr. DeHoff earned his JD from the Monterey College of Law. While in law school, Mr. DeHoff served as Law Clerk for the San Benito County District Attorney.
The Law Office of Ron DeHoff was created as a convenient, local resource to address a wide-variety of common civil legal needs. Mr. DeHoff uses his extensive background in business and technology to counsel clients in business, real estate, and land use. He proudly offers services in business and real estate transactions, landlord-tenant issues, land-use and neighbor disputes, trust and estate matters, elder law and probate, wills and estate planning.
Mr. DeHoff has served many years on the Executive Committee of the Monterey County Bar Association and is a Past President of the Association. He has been Adjunct Professor at the Panetta Institute for Public Policy at the California State University, Monterey Bay and the Chair of the Greater Monterey Peninsula Land Use Advisory Committee. He is an admitted attorney to the United States Supreme Court. He is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Monterey Peninsula program. He was the winner of the 2007 Ray Kiley Memorial Scholarship for excellence in will and trust law, 2007 West Law Award for Academic Achievement, and was a 2007 Heisler Moot Court Finalist at Monterey College of Law.
